Beattie electric fence products have lasted over forty years on our hill country farm, where we run sheep, cattle and goats. The permanent warratah insulator in particular was used extensively by my father when electric fencing was invented. Permanent and claw insulators, flat standard insulators, outriggers and undergate cable have been part of the landscape for more than twenty years.

Beattie gate breaks and fence reels are also essential components of our electric fencing systems. Everyone with electric fences knows reliability is crucial, especially when farming goats. We have tried other brands albeit briefly due to failure, proving beyond doubt that paying a little more for quality and proven Beattie products is a smart choice and saves money in the long run. Particularly when the cost of fault finding and repairs is considered, not to mention rounding up escaped stock, potential crop damage and angry neighbours!

In my opinion the design and durability of Beattie electric fence components is second to none.

In fencing in England the company I worked for largely uses Gallagher fencing products, i.e. power units and equine fence. The trial began three years previous to 2007, I found myself in Ireland in a farm shed converted into a workshop. We trialed several different insulators and we found the Beattie product came up trumps to everything else, Because we use a high volume of insulators every year, Roughly sixty thousand a year, We needed to think of a solution, We began to staple the Beattie insulators on by hand, we found this to be too slow and took too much man power, After many discussions with the workers we purchased two nail guns and the job went four times faster.

The Beattie insulators being manufactured of a high grade malleable plastic were not damaged by the nail being fired from the nail gun, where other insulators where damaged by nailing, The next problem we had to overcome was the stud rail 6x4" post was cut at a 25 to 30 degree angle the Beattie insulator had to mould over the angle.

The product provided by Beattie achieved this (See attached photographs) Our final problem we had was getting the Beattie product from New Zealand to England on time, This was overcome by the efficient team at Beattie.
